Katie Tandy is a freelance writer, EDITOR, photographer, AND FLEDGLING FILMMAKER. She is also working on a memoir — isn’t she a little young to write a memoir? Yes and no. Katie had a pretty interesting childhood.

SHE ALSO FRONTS A SLOP-JOY ROCK BAND, THE SHATTUCKS. yup, they have a very weird e.p.
OH, AND HERE'S A WORKSHOP OF THE ROCK OPERA ADAPTATION OF "PYGMALION" SHE'S WRITING.

Currently, she lives in oakland and is the co-founding editor of The establishment, a female-run and funded (!) news + culture  site for women.

As for capturing the world via digital celluloid, she takes pictures of everything from rusting machinery to raucous revelers.

She loves elevating everyday things to something sacred, something whispered, collapsing the boundaries between the pure and the profane.

(

It's also rumored she is a bit of a sullied snowball, collecting countless curios on her travels and travails. )

Katie is not an island. She is a sandtrap where anyone and anything interesting is encouraged to stop by and stay forever.

RESUMÉ.
